AABGDR Events

Happy Tails Inc. would like to invite you to join in on our first Adopt Day Saturday February, 25th. The event will be held inside of our training center on 119 Bishop St. Portland from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The day will be broken up into two parts. The first part of the event (9:00am-12:00pm) will be for rescues and vendors to set up tables with information about the rescues, dogs and products. Happy Tails will provide the tables and chairs for the vendors, rescues and will also have water out for all the dogs. The second part (12:00-2:00) will be our indoor dog park. All dog park dogs need to be spayed or nurtured, UTD with all vaccinations, and have proof of them at the door. Owners need to stay in the building with their dogs at all times. Dogs who are struggling in the dog park may be asked to leave for everyone’s safety. Balls and agility equipment will be out for the dogs to play with.

Dog friendly dogs available for adoption are encouraged to come so people get a chance to meet them. For the dogs in rescue that don’t do well in that type of setting we will have a screen and projector set up so they can still be seen. If you’d like your dog photos in the slide show please e-mail me a JPEG of the pups and info on them and I can put it all together on the slide.

Happy Tails will be advertising the event on our Facebook page, our new website (that’s still being worked on but will be done soon) and at both of our daycare locations. Please feel free to advertise through your rescue pages also. The more people at the event the better chances of finding forever homes for all of the great dogs!

Above and Beyond Great Dane Rescue will be there having a microchip clinic ($25 with free registration) and giving pedicures as needed. We're still working on the details but we will also have raffle items/door prizes.  It should be a great day!
